Julian Alps

The Julian Alps in Slovenia offer some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in Europe, with rugged limestone peaks, deep valleys, crystal-clear rivers, and emerald-green lakes. The scenery is similar to the Dolomites, but the trails feel quieter and less crowded.
This multi-day hike takes you through the heart of Triglav National Park, starting and finishing at Lake Bohinj. The route offers plenty of variety, from forest trails and rushing rivers to exposed rocky terrain with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The highlights include the famous Seven Lakes Valley, Soča Valley with its crystal-clear river and views of Mount Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia.
Many mountain huts along the way that are welcoming places to rest and spend the night, making it possible to hike without carrying camping gear. Lake Bohinj offers stunning scenery and the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim both before and after the hike.
